On second thoughts...
It sounded like a good idea yesterday, but thinking about it, I'm just not going to have the necessary free time to start blogging again. Sorry about that.

Post 1.
Hi, I'm Tom Tyler.
This blog has been dormant for several months now. Well, I'm restarting it again, and there's a specific issue which I want to concentrate upon.
Those who have followed the Madeleine McCann case closely, will probably "get" the new title of my blog - it refers to a curious phrase which Gerry McCann wrote on a whiteboard, during one of his "media strategy" meetings back around

Wow.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra: "Moonlight Serenade". (mp3).
What can I say? This is timeless. Beautiful. We must never let this music be forgotten. If I could only write songs 1% as lovely as this, I would call myself a real musician.

Classics Corner!
Here's a piece of music I've always been very fond of: Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espanol, movement 4 "Scena e canto gitano" (mp3). It's very beautiful, isn't it?

A short fictitious story that definitely never happened in real life today, I promise, honest guv!
"Erm, I suppose I can't smoke in your office any more, Tom"
"Yes, Terry, that's right.....officially".
"Officially?"
"Yes. However, let us think about this. One of the aspects that crops up in any society ruled by socialists and communists, is that they -"
"-They aren't happy unless they are exerting power over us and making us feel miserable about it?"

Ha ha, Great news
Police confident in bombers hunt -BBC
"Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke said he was "absolutely confident" of uncovering details of the attackers' methods and network........ Mr Clarke earlier described the investigation into the failed bombings as "extremely fast-moving". "It is no exaggeration at all to say that new information is coming to light hour by hour," he said."
Great

Joy Division's "Atmosphere" - a very slight remix
...from the obscene to the sublime, eh?
"Atmosphere" is one of Jay-Dee's best songs, a truly wonderful piece of modern music. But I have always preferred listening to live versions, rather than the official studio recording (which was recorded at Cargo Studios, Rochdale around autumn 1979, along with "Dead Souls" (horrible title, that, for such a wonderful song) and "Ice Age").
I don't know what

Fling this bastard out of the judge's seat and put him in the dock
I would hereby like to go on record and state that I earnestly believe that Judge Julian Hall, who sits in Oxford Crown Court, is a paedophile. I think that Judge Julian Hall at the very least fantasises about, and sees no wrong in having sexual intercourse with children. It is possible that he even engages, or has engaged in the past, in such activities.
